My First College Semester.

Over the entire course of my first college semester, I learned a lot of things about myself academically and mentally. I learned that I procrastinate too much. I have learned that I need to really sit down and figure out how I study best before my spring semester. I also learned that college is truly nothing like high school. The professors expect you to know a lot of things coming into college, they are strict about deadlines and they expect a big load of work to be completed in about 18 weeks whereas in high school you had the entire school year to complete the work load. But I also learned that the professors may be intimidating at first but they are truly there to help you, especially as a first semester freshman. Majority of them give you around a week or so to complete an assignment. They also want you to go to office hours they want you to text/email them for help, they want you to ask questions in class and there is truly no dumb question(unless it is completely irrelevant to college or the material you’re learning. But overall I learned that I can handle more than I thought I could. I learned that I could balance being a full time student, working a full time job off campus, along with getting all my assignments done(sometimes not exactly on time). That basically sums up my first semester as a college student!
